Circular Congregational Church
150 Meeting Street

Music Director Andrew Phillips Schmidt makes his Piccolo Spoleto debut as conductor of the New South Festival Singers.  Performing for the first time in 1989 as Gwinnett Festival Singers, and known since 1998 as William Baker Festival Singers, the 40-voice chorale has performed annually to capacity audiences at the Charleston festival for nearly 30 years.  In their first appearance with a new conductor and a new name, the chorus will perform works of Monteverdi, Finzi, Gjeilo, and Durufle, in addition to the African-American spirituals and gospel songs that have made the Festival Singers a regional sensation for decades.
